Everyone has a story
Everyone has gone through that one thing that has changed them.
That single experience that wiped clean that ignorant bliss of inexperience,
That one event that still feeds our naive idealism, long after it knocks the breath out of us.
That was his story.
The typical boy meets girl.
Boy falls madly in love.
He keeps falling.
He's never experienced anything so intense.
He loves her so much everytime he sees her... no matter how many times in a minute, the drummer in his heart kicks up his tempo...
Every time she touched him... he became the textbook example of severe heart palpitations.
But when she kissed him, kissed him brainless, he could swear his heart stopped pumping blood.
No one had ever made him feel like that... no one came close.
He was young enough to believe love could keep you happy even when money couldn't and naive enough to believe money couldn't keep you happy even where love was absent...
Her story was different. She had big dreams. No way was she gonna settle for the town doctor's son. No way! Oh, he talked big alright.. then gave her paper cut outs of things he "hoped" to buy her someday.
PLEASE. She deserved the real deal. She was too pretty to get less. She wanted diamonds, fast cars and unlimited credit cards, (which right thinking girl doesn't anyway) and by God, she was gonna get them. He was just a side distraction on her way to the top...
Then one hot afternoon she changed his life forever. Took off with a man passing through. She said he was a billionaire. She said she deserved to be happy... They were soon wed. There wasn't much he could do.
Back in town, he moved around in a daze for one whole year, everyday moving closer to crazy. There was talk around, hushed whispers about the wisdom in letting the town's crazy move freely around...
But he got his act together, left town and struck gold.
Now he watches the girls fawn over him and fall over themselves to keep him happy. All those years ago, she had given him back those paper cut outs. He still had them. And he could get a truck load of each of them if she wanted. But she hadn't stayed. Now he made girls cry. He couldn't bring himself to love again. It had driven him near to crazy the first time... He breaks their hearts, just as intensely as his was crushed...
He still held the phone in his hands. She had just called him. She said she thought they could still be friends. She said she wasn't happy. Her billionaire man hit her much too often, and she was in too much pain to enjoy her fortune. Her bruises kept her from going out and having a social life. But she couldn't leave cos she didn't know what the world held out for her...
She said she'd come back if he gave her a chance. Said she'd make it up to him. She said they could relive that summer all over again...
That did the trick, he laughed into the phone, so hard she had to cut it off. She must have felt stupid... Oh well, he just didn't do love anymore.
Call him sadistic, but he got a little pleasure from knowing she suffered too. He thought Karma deserved a toast. He walked to his bar poured a drink, lifting it slowly, he mouthed his thanks. And as the whiskey burned the back of his throat, he felt the weight drop away. It was the first day of the rest of his life.
Be careful what you put out there. Karma's a bitch, and she takes her time to make you pay...

Just in case u did not know...
Miley is my all time favorite celeb. She can do no wrong...
Before that, her name was mentioned 12-times' more than usual while the documentary Miley: The Movement was airing on MTV.
But even though it seems as if all this Miley talk is a newish, post-VMAs thing, that isn't exactly the case according to USA Today's handy compilation of numerical Miley facts from various statisticians.
For starters: Her Best of Both Worlds Tour—featuring Miley and "Hannah Montana"—in 2007 and 2008 grossed $54 million. Folks, many of them youngsters, were definitely interested in what the then-15-year-old Disney star was up to.
The 2008 documentary Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert also benefited from that interest, grossing $65.3 million. The film remains perched at No. 9 on the all-time list of top-grossing U.S. documentaries, per IMDb. (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never landed at No. 6 in 2011 with $73 million, and 2004's Fahrenheit 9/11 continues to cling to the No. 1 spot with $119 million.)
But that was then.
Also per the reported stats, Miley is said to have drummed up roughly $79 million worth of free publicity from her 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance, which was watched by an estimated 10 million people.
Before that had even happened, it took only 37 days for her "We Can't Stop" video to rack up 100 million views on Vevo, a record for the site.
After the VMAs, it took "Wrecking Ball" 24 hours to amass a record 19 million Vevo views on its way to a record-shattering 100 million views in six days. (Breaking the record previosly set by "We Can't Stop," natch.)

Falling in love is like getting a new gadget,
maybe an i-phone-
its sleek, its slim, its sexy-
and your always on it.
Or maybe its like your Blackberry,
your bedmate, your fiddle buddy,
the only thing that seems to make you laugh-out-loud!...
But just like everything else we acclaim, the shine soon goes out of it- its not as pretty, it aint as sexy,
and the solution is always to get a new pouch and lust after other phones.
#sigh
story of the human race. We were taught in Economics- you never ever run out of wants, they keep right on rolling in, and our scale of preference is ever changing, getting rescheduled on a regular.
But as tempting as this may sound, in our relationships, the wise thing to do is stick with your old gadget, and *WAIT FOR IT*
DOWNLOAD NEW APPLICATIONS!!!
It keeps your phone new and always piques your interest. Changing phones often makes us look unresourceful and downright wasteful. Changing lovers ever so often makes us look.... well, we know how that makes us look..
A wise man once said, a relationship is like cable T.V. with one channel, eventually you get tired of it, but every so often, your favorite show comes up. Its just like watching E!, you put up with the adverts, (very grudgingly so!) seeing as 90% of it is repeated only about a million times a day- buh then, after all those hassles of adverts comes the show you've been waiting to see, and when it airs, you just know-
It was all worth it... adverts and all.

Fiction; My Alternate Universe
The best part of love is falling...
everything seems so irrelevant now,
everything i thought was reason enough.
i didnt think it would be like this...
living without you that is.
i have tried to move on from you,
buh it seems i'm still on the mend.
The best part was falling,
one touch, and i was a believer... one kiss, and i was bound by your spell
but when its all said and done,
"How the hell does a broken heart get back together when its torn apart...
teach itself to start beating again... *thud thud thud thud*?"
Your pride, Your ego and Your selfish ways caused me to walk,
but Your love, Your tenderness, Your warm embrace and Your laugh kept me from going too far...
My head keeps screaming, telling me to go... i probably should
but my feet and my heart, one tune in spirit, can't move any further away.
My heart breaks when i hear your name,
tears well up in my eyes,
there's a squeeze in my chest.
Does this mean i can't move on? Is this a prelude to life without you? Lonely nights crying silently and wishing, oh wishing.....
Or is this how everybody feels, on the long road to moving on?
We had the best time
Now its the worst time.
The stars have journeyed from my eyes, in their quest to find dry sights..
The wind only blows memories in my face,
and makes my eyes water when it comes on too strong.
In my alternate universe, there would be some justice in the world,
You'd be mine and I'd be yours.
You'd scrub my back in the shower and hold me while i sleep.
The stars would journey back to my eyes, One way ticket,
And the wind, Oh yes the wind, would blow memories that would have the sun lighting up my smile.
If there's any justice in the world, you'd be my future...
If there's any justice, my alternate universe, just like the last time, would be my reality...
But this time, we'd ride to the death.

SCANDAL Season 3 Premiere
Its back, and its better.
Who Leaked Liv's Name? Oh, secret service agent Hal. Turns out, our men in black get a little loose-lipped at their local bar and Hal ended up spilling that Fitz was having an affair with one of his trusted advisors to a reporter. But Hal swears he didn't reveal Olivia's name. So who did? Freakin' Fitz! (i can't believe it myself!!)
Olivia's dad is a massive [insert every mean name here]. Almost the entire first act of the episode is Rowan belittling his daughter for her affair, especially the fact that she was going for First Lady. "Do you have to be so mediocre?" Wanting to "fix" her situation (We guess it runs in the fam!), Rowan puts Olivia on a plane with a one-way ticket to a new life.................
DEFINITE MUST WATCH!

Charly Boy's Obituary
No. He is not dead. Yes, he wrote it himself. And even took photos to buttress his point... he's one brave man i tell ya... Read on!
*as adapted from the net*
"Right about now, some of the readers will question the sense in capturing and casting this type of crazy captions for my articles. I only write for those who are patient enough to understand the creative beauty of my mind. I write for those who have depth enough to see beyond what they see, those who have a discerning mind.
However, if your curiosity has gotten the better of you, then read on.
I am about to take up a subject no one really wants any part of, but that's alright, this is where our imagination runs apart. For a brief second, imagine this: if your life were to end today, what would your obituary read? Come on; don't get frightened, thinking about your obituary will not kill you. Nothing escapes the Creator's cycle; not plants, not animals, nor human beings. All living things emerge, gather, spark new life, fall apart and die.
The purpose of all of this is not to scare you about death which is inevitable, but to expose you to a new information or rather, share a certain mindset with you that may help you live with humility and aliveness that only an acceptance of death can release.
'My Obituary' is meant to prick your mind to start being fully conscious of the moments you are alive.
Every moment of our lives, we are knowingly or unknowingly writing a line for our obituary. Every action or inaction provides memories of us to those we eventually leave behind; they are the memories that the people we love and leave behind will want to include in the telling of our life's story.
Within the first quarter of this year, I lost a good friend and cousin, Mr. Emeka Aseme to kidnappers; he was butchered and killed in cold blood. My whole village was not only scandalized by the senseless killing but till today, the 'Blue Lake City' of Oguta has lost the shine it had as a city of bubbling happy go lucky people.
Emeka was a good man who provided employment for hundreds of Oguta people, he was sociable, liked by all and sundry (or so we thought). Even though Oguta had a lot of industrious sons and daughters, Emeka's legacies stand out. He cared about his people, he gave a helping hand, and he was sensitive to people's conditions.
Now that he's no more, all we have to say of him (his obituary) are his good deeds, what he contributed to the betterment of his fellow man, especially his kinsmen.
What would yours read like, now that all you know is 'Me, Myself & I'?
What legacy are you living today, is it different from the one you will want to leave behind?
Some people live as if they will be here forever, not giving a hoot about what happens to the next person. If it’s not their immediate personal/family gratification, it does not concern them.
Mind you, I'm not saying you should not care about your welfare and that of your family o (if you know the AreaFada well you will know that my family remains my ROCK).
However, I still make an ample proportion of my time to fighting the course of our youth and being the Voice of the Voiceless. And this gives me joy and fulfillment. For me, it is what keeps blood flowing in my veins, puts the sparkle in my eyes and springs in my steps...despite the unfavourable state of the terrain. Wetin man go do?
You are the author of your own Obituary, so tell me. Are you writing a history of misery, or a tale of tenacity? Were you inclusive and supportive? Or were you exclusively out for yourself alone, you selfish bloke. Did you lift others up, or did you allow them to knock you down? Did you stay down long enough to recover, or did you stay down complaining and winning. What will your Obituary say about the way you treated people and how you made them feel about themselves. Most importantly what will your Obituary say about how you treated yourself? What will be said about your attitude, how you handled yourself in crisis. Perhaps now is the time to consider how you are living and what you want to be said about you when you are not. Your life provides the content of your Obituary, so my guy, check yourself and park well.
For me, I came, I saw, I did it my way, had fun and boned everyone who thought it wasn’t possible. That’s my Obituary. I'm still here though, for the longer haul!"

Ramblings of a bored Lawyer
I have nothing witty to say...
I have browsed and I have dug,
Through dirt and through sweat,
Dredging up past works
With pipe dreams that something... anything would inspire me.
Through all that hardwork,
I've come away empty, with a lower spirit than I began.
For two months I have sat on my ass,
Not once bringing ink to sheet.
I have laughed into my phone
And let my brain slowly rut...
Now my thoughts are muddled, my words have gone visiting,
I'm stuck with a fat brain I need to work out to get it back in shape
#sigh
It took me a while, but my true friends would say tis long overdue...
So, somewhere while on my ass these past months,
Somewhere in between laughing into my phone and my otherwise joblessness,
I decided to put ink to sheet... my fingers on this keyboard and share my life with the world.
But in the meantime, while this block keeps my blog from getting words,
I have nothing witty to say.
